Here Comes America

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of week but have been busy.

Well, my friend Gary Stockton has woven his magic again. We collaborated on a song called "Here Comes America".

Gary performed the backing and vocals in California and I did my vocals in the U.K. Click the link button below to listen to it.

The song turned out great Mark. It's doing quite well over on IAC, played 875 times this month, has climbed to #35. Nice to see people responding with listens eh.

I do hope you are finding time to practice guitar. Off to see any bands with Jilly? Well, just wanted to pop in and say hi. Give her a hug for us.

Hey Mark, hope your doing well mate. Good to hear this song, sung in good voice from both you and Gary, and brilliant production. The words work really well, it's just a good honest song, well done to you both.

Hi Mark,
hope you're doing well mate.

We're having a hot summer, good thing we reinsulated the walls and put new windows in.

Had lunch with a fellow who used to play in a band and played many of the gigs our band played in the early 80's. He's still depressingly good looking at 43, hasn't aged a day. He plays bass, not sure if we'll get a band going, but he definitely offered to play bass if I'm doing recordings, and I'm really excited about that. Hey, check these guys out and let me know what you think. They also played the same mod style around the same time as us, and apparently they are back together again.

The Question

I always loved their early Who sound, particularly on songs like "Distance Appart" and "Easy"

Haven't written any new tunes, have a bunch of ideas though, don't want to force it. I ordered a cool Reflection Filter for my microphone, it mounts to the stand and cuts down on background noise, so, hopefully this will inspire new recordings.

Well Mark, give our Love to Jill won't you, we've almost got enough air miles to make another trip over.
