I'm so tired, but I sit here looking
Nearly midnight, the laptops cooking
Voted for Rachel, looked on her Blog
Read about the poo from her dog
The Birthdays been, another year nearer
Life becomes so much clearer
As you get older, wiser and old
Trying to find that pot of gold
So I've filled in a bit more time
Having trouble making this rhyme
Brains not working, cells expired
But I sit here looking, I'm so tired
Goodnight

Hey Mark - Like your poem. Your lucky you can go all the concerts in England to see The Who. Your right it gets really expensive quick. I think their doing the tour in the States in the fall. It's a really nice time of year in New England (where I live) and if you guys to get some spare cash to fly across the pond it would be great to show you around our neck of the woods. Granted it's no London...but it's still pretty nice. Have a great weekend. P.S. Now everytime I see a commercial on "Tom-Tom" I think of you guys bringing us back to our hotel...
Oooh! It's Poetry Cornered...
At least your poem is not as suicidal as mine, LOL!
I'm OK, I've got my Rachel/Who music blasting on my ipod everyday and doing a lot of meditation, hahaha.
I guess when the shows start I'll be flying! I haven't bought a ticket for the Convention and now it's sold out!!! Yikes! But I'll go to the Box Office on the day and beg!
As for the Hyde Park gig, still waiting the OK from work, it's going to be sale time...Hopefully the boys will do warm up shows.

Very nice Poem! I hope you and Jill had a lovely time at the show while we all chatted. I missed it too as my appointment was rescheduled to be earlier and during the chat. BUT I will be in the one next Wed from the road! Hope to see you both then!

Hi Mark
Thanks for visiting my blog & for the ego-inflating comments!
LOL
Congratulations on your recent Birthday!
And, by the looks of it, a recent marriage?
My birthday was just over a month ago.
I had a good chuckle over your poem & even read it aloud to my husband.
It's early Sat morning, so we're up for a laugh.
I remember Rachel's recent "poo" post.
Hope you are having a great day - the sun is barely up here, but you're more than half way through your day!
:)

Hey, that's a great rhyme mate. I pay tribute to you in a new song, check it out on my IAC page, it's called Walkin On The Grid.
Hope you had a great birthday and are keeping up the guitar, we'll be jamming some day I am sure.
