I've been practising two chords C and G. Have not quite got it right but it's coming on slowly. Still get the odd string not sounding completely clear. I'll get there in the end. My fingers are sore but it will be worth it. A message to a former Blogger, my door is open, is yours?

G is a tough chord as it splits 2nd and 3rd finger appart quite a bit. I see Simon T wrapping his thumb over the top part of the neck to get the E string on 3rd fret and simply holding 6th string on 3rd fret with 3rd finger. Persistence pays off and the fact that your fingers get sore means you are getting better. Soon you'll start to develop little calluses, don't file these down, they really help make crisp clean chords.
Thanks for the nice post. I am a member of FriendsReunited, and found a couple of school friends that way. She's not listed there unfortunately.
Stick with the guitar! It's so rewarding when it starts making the sounds you want it to.
look forward to seeing you both on Saturday.
Should be a really good gig. It's our favourite venue. Great atmosphere especially when really busy.

My nephew taught me how to play "Smoke on the water". Well, everybody knows that, lol. Next thing: windmilling over "Sparks"!!!
He's very good, last time we spoke on the phone he played "Daytripper". I'm jealous, he's only 13.
Anyways, Amsterdam was great, thanks for coming along the journey with me, it was fun posting from here.
